Reports are created in MX-Developer with the help of a highly intelligent designer which contains a toolbox with several components to be used for creating more attractive and comprehensible reports. For example, with the chart component, data can be graphically presented to the end-user. This ensures that the main function of the report is achieved and that the user is informed about certain data or content in as little time as possible. The data explorer in MxReport contains data source items which can be easily bound to a report simply by the dragging and dropping function. Each database field displayed can be customized by setting of its properties. Appearance and behaviour of data is defined simply and efficiently. Another strong feature available in MX-Client is the possibility to change and modify reports in runtime and version existing reports. It takes only a few clicks with the mouse to enable any of these features. This built-in report designer will satisfy your every desire and demand concerning reports.

An interesting but rarely implemented feature is presentation of data from different data sources together, on one place (e.g. data from relational databases, data acquired from different devices through the OPC data source or data provided by some external system via web services). This makes MX-Developer a unique and advantageous tool in comparison with other similar tools. Just imagine an end-user who works with the application completely unaware that the data presented have been gathered from different data sources or even from different systems.

MX-Developer also supports integration of reports designed with the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. The integrated reports are accessible in MX-Client as part of any other application’s functionality without any limitation. This means that any data presented in MX-Client application can be bound as a report’s parameter value. This functionality is ideal for systems with an already existing report system.
