Glossary Item Box

Localization is a strong and absolutely obligatory feature when you develop applications for the international market. It enables users with different language preferences to use the same application. This simplifies work and saves time in terms of user education, and consequently reduces the costs of implementing the system in an organization. MX-Client offers localization tools for system part and for content part of the application.

System

MX-Client enables system localization at any level required or necessary through a simple and easy-to-use System Localization Editor. The latter contains all strings, which can appear in a client, appropriately organized by their intention and location. This means that every system description can be translated into another language to simplify work with the application. Default strings are written in English. MX-Client’s System Localization Editor is easily accessible to a user with appropriate user credentials through the control panel.

Content

Beside system localization, the MX-Client offers localization of the content developed with the MX-Developer. This feature enables translation of every application element description such as navigation element name, label, column name, report field name, etc. into another language to simplify work with the application. MX-Client’s Content Localization Editor is easily accessible to the users with appropriate security credentials.

Synchronization

System localization for supported languages is available on our server. To transfer any previously prepared system localization from our server to their own system, the users can avail of MX-Client’s System Localization Synchronizer. Of course they will need appropriate user credentials to perform this task. The synchronizer is located in the control panel in the localization section. This functionality saves precious time in configuring MX-Clients for actual use.

Profile-based Culture

This functionality enables the administrator to set different languages for a specific group of users in the same system or in the same client application. Each profile has its own language settings, on basis of which localized strings are displayed in the client. This feature is particularly relevant in work process in which users, coming from different language environments, use the same application system because it cuts expenses typical for organizations with multi-language labour force.
