In order for applications developed with MX-Developer to be visible in MX-Client, libraries must be registered. This goes for all content libraries as well as system libraries; configuration and management. Registration can be managed for individual client. It is however possible to obtain registration configuration for enterprise clients from MX-Server.
User interface contains three sections; Available Libraries, Registered Libraries and Upload to the Server. Libraries are located in lists in first two sections. They are grouped based on their origin. By default the first three groups are displayed. To access more groups use configuration buttons at the bottom of the list.
Available Libraries
This section contains all libraries which are not yet registered. In order to see a library here in the list, MxLibrary file must be located in Components folder of Mx-Client installation folder. Each library must contain MxBootstrapper component in order to be visible here. In order to registry a library, select it from the list. Library will be visible after MX-Client is restarted.
Registered Libraries
Section contains list of all currently registered libraries. In order to un-register a library, select it from the list and confirm un-registration. In order for the changes to take effect, MX-Client must be restarted.

Upload to the Server
In systems with large number of clients it would be totally unpractical if one would have to registry libraries by hand. Therefore it is possible to upload configuration of registered libraries to MX-Server. With automatic updates feature configuration is deployed to all clients. Next time clients run all libraries defined here will be accessible to the user.
Upload can be achieved by clicking Upload menu on the ribbon. Before that two fields must be filled in order to determine the server and the solution.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Address | Defines the location of MX-Server installation. Replace <server_name> string with server name or IP address of the server where MX-Server is installed. |
Solution | Enter the name of the solution for which the configuration is intended. Configuration will then only be available to MX-Client which hosts the entered solution. |
To upload a configuration
- Define the configuration by selecting libraries in Available Libraries and Registered Libraries sections.
- Enter the name of the server or IP address of the server in field Address instead of <server_name> string.
- Enter the name of the solution in Solution field.
- Click Upload menu on the ribbon.
Configuration will be retrieved by Enterprise MX-Client when the client is updated.
