Personalization Directory is intended for managing different types of layout and templates. This is where a user with appropriate privileges, can manage access rights of individual template for a single or a group of users. It is also possible to manage access privileges for other entities not only single user or workgroup.

Three types of personalization exist in MX-Frame. Personalization of user interfaces, grids and reports.  All can be done in runtime with no special skills or expert knowledge required.

User Interface

User can manipulate with all the controls on a user interface. This means user can change the layout which was designed by the developer in design time. User can rearrange all controls, change their size, look and even hide controls. It is possible to add labels, separators, splitters, etc. User can create groups and tabbed groups. After the personalization is complete, the layout can be saved. This can be repeated any number of times.

Grid

Individual grid can also be customized. Of course only user with appropriate credentials can customize a grids. There are several things that can be customized in a grid and then saved. It is possible to rearrange order of column or to even remove some of the columns. It is also possible to group and sort data. Some modifications on grid appearance are also possible. Optional number of grid templates can be saved, even for one grid. User can than choose from all of them which one to use.

Report

Report designer in runtime is one of the strong features in MX-Frame. Everything on the report can be changed in runtime. Developer only prepares a super set of data which can then be manipulated with, in runtime, in any way a user sees fit. Fields can be added and removed. New groups can be created along with footers and summaries. Additional labels and other report information can be added such as number of pages, current date and time, user name, etc. Colours can be added to any part of the section, fonts can be managed in details. It is possible to add pictures and to even add and design a chart. Using report personalization user really has no limitations on what he can design. Of course every template can be saved and later used by other users.

Personalization Management
