Glossary Item Box

Settings section contains user interfaces for basic MX-Client settings. Information about currently logged user is accessible here as well as the possibility for a user to change his password here. Of course he must have appropriate security privileges. Access to some of the features is limited to the administrator of the system.

User can use management in this section when access to Control Panel is not possible. Administrator also has possibility to configure available content in MX-Client. This section basically contains everything needed to configure MX-Client to display desired content and to manage behaviour and appearance of MX-Client for the current user.

Library Registry

Library registration management is used for arranging libraries; both system and content. It is possible to define exactly which content is visible to the user in an application. The configuration can then be uploaded to the server for exact solution. Enterprise clients can than obtain the solution which has exactly the same configuration.

User Information

User interface displays all information about currently logged user and his account. It is also displayed to which application role and to which workgroup the account belongs. If permitted so, user can also change his password here.

Connectivity Channels

In connectivity channels management it is possible to define connections to framework databases. It is possible to define more than one connections, user can then select the desired one on the login page in MX-Client. It is also possible to set configuration for some MX-Developer components such as MxLoader. All configurations can be uploaded to MX-Server for a specific solution. Enterprise clients can than retrieve this solution or can avail Automatic Updates to retrieve the new configuration.

Language

If permitted so, user can also change culture settings. Whether one can change language, it is defined with profile settings to which the user account belongs. Language settings take effect immediately and are active only for current session.
