System configuration influences all MX-Client connected to the same MX-Frame framework database. Settings can be relevant to several different sections such as security, locations, print and server. Management is done in state of the art user interface with minimal effort and knowledge required.
Because only users with administrative privileges are allowed to access Control Panel, system configuration can also be accessed and managed only by an administrator.
Note that system settings are taken into consideration only after MX-Client is restarted.
Security
Settings in Security section determine the level of security in the system. It is determined what to do if security policy is missing on an object, how strong passwords must be and do they expire. Settings are divided into two sub-sections, Authorization and Login.
Authorization
Setting | Description |

Empty Policy Action | Defines the behaviour of the system if policy is not set on any entity for an object or operation. If Allow is selected user is granted access in such cases. If Deny is selected user is not granted the access to the object or the operation. |
Security Level | Defines the behaviour of security in cases when more than one entity has security policies defined for the same object or operation. If Minimum is selected and if one entity exists with Allow privileges, the access to the object or operation is granted. If Maximum is selected, user does not have access if even one entity has Deny security policy defined. |
Password Expiration | Defines the number of days after which user accounts, with setting Password Expires set to True, will have to change the password. |
Strong Password | Defines whether the password for user accounts must be strong password. Custom Properties
It is possible to define custom properties for a system. These types of properties are created with MxPropertyPage component in design time. It is possible to create any number of such properties grouped in categories. Properties can also be edited with editors such as password, bool, numeric, etc. Properties are bound to a system. This means that they will only be used on a certain system. If the same solution runs in different system, different framework database, the system behaviour is different. This is just another step in total system and content customization.
