Workgroups section in Control Panel is intended for manipulation with workgroups. Workgroups can be used for defining security policy, personalization and other system settings. These features are usually defined on groups of users not on individual users. Why? It is quite obvious that it is much easier to manage security for ten entities or ten groups than one hundred entities or one hundred individual users.
Appropriately grouped user accounts mean minimal work when building a security model and later when maintaining it. In cases when users are added later in the process, they are just simply added to the appropriate group and no work has to be done on security or personalization model itself.
Section contains user interfaces for creating new workgroups, managing workgroups and managing workgroup membership for each user account.
